Chemistry Lab Report:
I. Title of Experiment
You will decide the title for each lab. Your title needs to describe what the lab was about.
II. Procedure
III Data
This includes any number, whicy you need to measure and record, such as weight, volume or length. Make sure to label each number like: 5.2 ml, 6.25 cm, or 3.45 g.
This section also includes any observations you make, such as color change, production of gas or heat being released.
Tables are an easy way to represent this information in an organized fashion. Most of the time you should use tables to represent you data.
IV. Calculations
For each and every calculation used in your lab you need to show the following:
a. Word formula: write out the calculation you are performing; make sure to label every number
b. 1 example: Using numbers from your Data section; make sure to label every number
V. Results
This section includes a table or a listing of your final results after you have performed all the calculations. Tables also work well here!
VI. Questions
Answer all questions in complete sentences, which means you will incorporate the question into your answer. If you prefer you may instead first write the question then follow with your answer.
VII. Conclusion
Short and should give an answer to your problem or purpose.
